ATS Resume for Sales: Quota, CRM & Pipeline

Sales resumes live or die on numbers and tools. Here is the exact keyword set ATS scans and sales hiring managers look for, stated honestly.

Sales postings are unusually specific about numbers: quota size, attainment percentage, deal size, sales cycle length, and segment (SMB, mid-market, enterprise). A resume that says 'exceeded sales targets' without a number reads as vague to both the ATS keyword scan and the hiring manager. The specific figures are the keywords here, not just skill nouns.

What to include, exactly

  • Quota attainment as a real percentage or dollar figure, per year or per quarter, whichever you can state accurately.
  • CRM and sales tools by name: Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft, Gong, ZoomInfo.
  • Sales motion terms the posting uses: outbound, inbound, SDR, AE, full-cycle, enterprise, SMB, land-and-expand.
  • Deal metrics where you have them: average deal size, sales cycle length, win rate.

Don't round up

It's tempting to state '120% of quota' when the real number moved around across a few periods. Use the figure you can defend in an interview. A specific, slightly more modest number holds up better than a rounded one that falls apart under a follow-up question.

Tailor per posting and segment

An SMB-focused posting and an enterprise posting reward different emphasis even from the same sales history: deal volume versus deal size, for example. ResumeSkip reorders and rephrases your real numbers toward what each posting is actually asking for, without changing the underlying figures.
